Sound Sensor

Sound detector is a small tiny chip that combined with microphone used to detect sound in a measuring atmosphere. We can adjust the sensitivity of the sensor using setpoint adjust.  The adjustment is done with potentiometer that inbuilt with the board.

The board has an amplifier circuit( LM393 Op-Amp )to amplify the input sound signal.

Sound sensor

Operating voltage: 5V

Operating Current: 4~5 mA

Connections to Arduino:

        Sensor                Arduino

VCC                      5V

GND                     GND

OUT                     Digital O/P pins

When the detecting sound level exceeds the setpoint, sensor sends the output signal.
