Researchers created two dimensional electron gases (2DEG) on gallium arsenide and this new device useful in opto-electrical devices.
They have now grown a 2DEG system on gallium arsenide,and they found that a semiconductor device effectively abosrbs and emits light.
Insulating the oxides cause oxygen containing conductive interfaces, but the do not conduct. but the conductive electrons at the interfaces makes two dimensional Electron gases (2DEG).
Scientists believes that it will potentially useful in Electronics and photonics applications.
